We are always taking new patients. Give us a call today at 720-504-2539 or fill out the appointment form to request a visit. Today we have a special message for you about how to give your children great care. Here are three ways to give your child an excellent smile.

1. Make dentistry fun.

If you treat dentistry like it’s boring or scary, you children might have a similar feeling. We’ve found that children thrive when you make dentistry fun, that includes cleanings and exams and even at-home care. You can make a fun game out of brushing and flossing. There are special toothbrushes that play music for the two minutes you’re recommended to brush your teeth.

We also have parents who let their children dress up in customs for their visits. We also encourage our parents to have an incentive program for their children, especially if they have a cavity-free visit. We want parents to take their children’s dental care seriously but also have fun with it.

2. Bring your child to our office early in life.

We recommend that your child visit a dentist when the first tooth appears or by the time they are 1. Most parents would tell you that visiting a dentist is important, but studies show that Americans aren’t great at sending our children to the dentist. According to a study from Delta Dental Plans Association, the average age children first visit the dentist is 2.6 years old.

Those first few visits are about more than cleaning the teeth. We also assess the development of the teeth and jaw. These childhood teeth make is easier for your child to chew their food, and these teeth preserve the space for permanent teeth. These teeth also allow our children in speech development.

3. Find the right dentist.

At Silver Leaf Dentistry, we enjoy treating the entire family. It’s not uncommon for our patients to have their dental treatments at the same time. You can make dentistry time as family time. If your child sees you taking care of your teeth in the dental office, they take pride in taking care of their teeth.

We try to make your visit as happy as possible. We have a waiting room with special activities. There are also balloons and a toys to keep your child occupied while they wait to see the doctor.

Our professional dental team is ready to take care of you and your children. You make dentistry fun by partnering with our office. Give us a call today at 720-504-2539 or  use the appointment form to book a visit.
